Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota is promoting a major expansion of investment in rural Minnesota. He will be asking the Legislature for $70 million in rural economic development funds. The funding commitment follows the announcement last September of the initiative called Strategic Entrepreneurial Economic Development, or SEED.
